Not long after Nugget arrived, Forester’s Farm received another rescue call. A family was moving out of the region and needed to find a new home for their young Juliana pig, Wesley. After a short internet search, the family found a large operation that specialized in rescuing pigs. After visiting the rescue, the family quickly decided that it would be much too large for their sweet Wesley, and they searched again, this time finding Forester’s Farm. The family arranged a time to visit the farm and, after touring the grounds and meeting with Erika, the family set a date and time to bring Wesley, his blanket, crate, and toys to the farm.
Wesley has quickly found his new home to his liking. He loves following the dogs as they sniff around the farm and its grounds. He follows Erika as she cares for the other animals and, once in a while, likes to create a stir by whizzing through the upper pasture, running around and dodging the other animals while also teasing them to come chase. Wesley is a smart and fast little porker and Erika is currently training him to wear a harness – not to curb his enthusiasm but instead to prepare him to join Pearl, Bullet, and Becky when they make trips to visit schools and senior care facilities. (He’s sure to be a fan favorite!)
